Why should I choose at-home euthanasia?

Dr Logan's dog Tea having a peaceful moment at Tyler State Park
Such a good question.

I have been a veterinarian for nearly 30 years and have performed countless pet euthanasias. My most rewarding experiences come when I can help a family provide a peaceful passing at home for a pet whose quality of life is declining or who is in immediate distress with no options for relief.

I am so grateful that we can say goodbye together in a warm and cozy environment and not have to do it in a sterile exam room. During an at-home euthanasia, we don't ask them to travel, they can stay exactly where they are - on their bed, in their favorite sunny spot, wherever they're comfortable.

When a pet we love has passed, we know that we will miss them no matter what, but somehow a gentle goodbye seems like the most loving last gift we can give them.

Warmly,
Dr. Logan (and my best girls, Tea and Jane)
